I had to think about the size of my pictures and also what I was going to say for my call outs. I had to think about responsibility, like... tapping my keys gently and holding my chromebook with two hands not one!

Do You Know How Many?...

Yesterday I made a round pizza. I made it out of clay. The colour of the clay was green. What I had to do was think about the size and how I was going to cut it up into equal pieces. After that I had to put toppings on the pizza. The toppings that I put on is pineapple, mushrooms and also pepperoni. Take a look at the photo. Do you know how many toppings I have on my pizza?

Visiting Buckingham Palace In England

This is one of the first Digital Learning Objects that we created and it was quite tricky.  I chose somewhere in the world I would like to visit one day.  Then I found an image of it on Google images.  Next, I cut around a photograph of my head using Pixlr so I could put myself in that place.  Maybe I will travel there in the future in real life.

THE 100th ANNIVERSARY OF ANZAC

On 25th April 2015, it was the 100th anniversary of ANZAC soldiers landing at Gallipoli.  We learnt lots of things about life and war for the ANZAC soldiers when we visited Auckland Museum in April.  We created poppies, we have written poems and letters about ANZAC and World War 1.

I have chosen to share my acrostic poem about ANZAC because I have been working on ANZAC and I have worked really well on this. I have learnt a lot of facts about ANZAC Day and the soldiers that went to war.

I find CTRL SHIFT T really useful because it reopens your tabs and I find it way quicker than just trying to find the tab that you  were on. 

I Want To Go To Australia

Kia Ora and talofa lava! My name is Katrina and I’m a year 5 student at Ruapotaka School in Room 10. My teacher's name is Mrs Buchanan. My principal's name is Mrs Vickers. My nationality is Cook Island and Maori.

My favourite subjects at school are maths and reading. The thing I’m good at is mostly maths because I can find heaps of ways to solve the maths problem. My maths goal is to learn my 6, 7, 8, 9 and 12 times tables. The other thing I like to do is play sports. The sports I like to play most of all are softball and soccer.

The most favourite things I like to do are sing and play knucklebones with my friends. I have 3 brothers and 1 sister. My pet's name is Mayka and he is my pet dog. My favourite food is butter chicken on rice. The people I admire are my family because they always help with the things  that I need help with, like my homework and my times tables. The place I want to go is Australia.
