First Syndicate Assembly

Last week on Tuesday Room 12 hosted the first assembly of 2017.
There was a dance battle between 2 to 3 people from each class.
Room 12 - Mika, Saluselo and Lupe
Room 11 - Meafou and Teremoana
Room 10 - Dominic and Peni
Room 9 -  Maniarose and Diego

It was really funny when the children from each room started dancing. All of the children tried very hard but unfortunately on one class could win. Room 10 won because the whole senior block had a vote and most of the children chose this class.

We sang 2 songs and the songs were called 'Smile And Be Happy' and 'Lean On Me'. 'Smile And Be Happy' is about living life to the fullest. 'Lean On Me' is about if you need a friend you can 'Lean On Me'.

What Am I Proud Of?

In writing I learnt how to use paragraphs. I have read a lot so my reading age is higher than my age in reading. In maths I’ve learnt my 7, 8 and some of my 9 times table.

I’m proud of everything I have learnt in Room 10.

I liked the solar oven because we got to cook and we got to eat what we cooked.

Celebrating teamwork

Here is the movie that our group made to celebrate teamwork and success. We worked together to make our plan and the cake. Later I created the beat using Button Bass.

How to throw a shot putt

Instructions:

  1. Pick up the ball with your fingers so it like you have dirty fingers but a clean palm

2. Now put the shot putt by your neck so it’s like you have a dirty neck

3. It’s like your checking the time. So take your other arm {that doesn’t have the shot putt in it} swing it around and check the time

4. After you have done all of the other things just let it fly

Athletics

Athletics

Yesterday it was Ruapotaka School’s Athletics day and the Room 1 boys (5 year old) versed each other. My cousin Piripi came 1st  and my brother Matthew came 2nd  for the 75 metre sprint.

In my class races Mary came 1st, Julianne came 2nd and I came 3rd in both the 100 metre sprint and the 75 metre sprint.

My Mum, My Nan, my aunties, my cousins and my uncle came to watch me run in athletics yesterday. My whole family was proud that me, my brother James, my cousin Piripi and my brother Matthew came 1st, 2nd and 3rd.

Athletics was a really cool day yesterday.
